Shipping charges are entirely separate from the price of your gift. They are indicated after you add the gift to your shopping cart, where you can view shipping options prior to final checkout. Free ground shipping is included for our wine, snack and gourmet baskets. Please check individual product description pages for free shipping information.
We ship most of our gifts with Fedex Ground and UPS Ground. Shipping is available to the Continental US only (48 contiguous states.) We cannot ship packages to P.O. Boxes, APO or FPO addresses. A recipient phone number is required. Our gifts are shipped from several design studios, warehouses and our gourmet bakery, therefore transit time for Ground service may range from 1-5 business days, depending upon the recipient's distance from the shipping location. For most gifts, we provide ranges of transit time to East Coast, Midwest & West. Time in transit does not include day of shipment, weekends or holidays. Deliveries of shipped gifts are made only on business days (Monday-Friday.) If your gift ships Fedex Home Delivery, dates of delivery are Tues- Saturday.
Shipping prices indicated are for Ground service. If you need faster arrival, please call us to discuss expedited services (3 Day, 2 Day, Overnight) which are available at additional cost.
During peak Holiday seasons, delivery times are not guaranteed by UPS or Fedex. Please allow additional time for shipping during the Holidays, including Christmas, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day & Father's Day.
Hospital/Hotel Delivery :
Deliveries to hospitals and hotels are not recommended and cannot be guaranteed. These shipments go to a general receiving department before being routed to the patient's or guest's rooms. Sorry, no refunds will be given if the patient/guest checks out or cannot be located.
Wrong/Incomplete Addresses: Please be sure that all shipping information is entered accurately, including the recipient's name, street number/name, floor, suite or apt # if applicable, and zip code. If you have been made an error in the shipping address after the order has been placed, please notify us immediately. If your order has not shipped, we will be happy to make the necessary changes. If your order has already been shipped and our shipper is able to make the address correction, a $15.00 fee will be charged to your credit card to correct and re-route the package to its destination. Incorrect shipping addresses may also result in the delay of your gift.
Returned Packages due to Wrong Address or Refusal of Acceptance by Recipient (Including No Required Signature Obtained) : For packages returned to The Basket Works due to incorrect address, refusal of acceptance by recipient (including not responding to required signature notification for wine or other gifts), a refund of the original gift price will be issued, minus a $15.00 return fee + the original shipping charges. All re-ship requests for gifts returned will incur the $15.00 return fee + new shipment shipping charges.
