ORDERING:

Online: Orders are accepted 24/7 via our secure shopping cart.

We accept MasterCard, VISA, American Express & Discover.

Orders for stock items received before 11 AM EST will usually be shipped same business day (Monday through Friday). Orders received after 11 AM EST will be shipped the following business day. Orders received after 11 AM on Friday or over the weekend will be shipped the following Monday. During Holiday periods, allow additional time for processing and shipping due to high volumes.

Confirmations/SalesTax:
For online orders, you will receive an automated confirmation which will show total including shipping. If your gift is being shipped or delivered within or into the state of New Jersey, 7% sales tax will be added.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY INFORMATION:

Shipping charges are entirely separate from the price of your gift. On the product ordering page, a drop down window indicates shipping cost of each size gift and is transferred to your shopping cart.

UPS & Fedex are our shippers. Shipping is available to the Continental US only (48 contiguous states.) We cannot ship packages to P.O. Boxes, APO or FPO addresses. A recipient phone number is required. Our gifts are shipped from several design studios (NJ, NY & CA), our OH bakery, warehouses and orchards across the country, therefore transit time for Ground service may range from 1-5 business days, depending upon the recipient's distance from the shipping location. Time in transit does not include day of shipment, weekends or holidays. Deliveries of shipped gifts are made only on business days (Monday-Friday.) There is no weekend or Holiday delivery.

Most gifts are shipped Ground and the charge is indicated on the product ordering page. If you need faster arrival, we have provided (where available) additional options (i.e. 3 Day, 2 Day, Overnight) which you may select from the drop down window. If express service is not listed for a specific gift, please feel free to call us to inquire as to the availability of these options.

Our Fruit Baskets, Towers and Gift Boxes are shipped fresh direct from the grower in Oregon and due to their perishability, may only be shipped 3 Day, 2 Day or Overnight. These options are listed for each gift choice.

Holiday Delivery:
During peak Holiday seasons, delivery times are not guaranteed by UPS or Fedex. Please allow additional time for shipping during the Holidays, including Christmas, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day & Father's Day.

Hospital/Hotel Delivery :
Deliveries to hospitals and hotels are not recommended and cannot be guaranteed. These shipments go to a general receiving department before being routed to the patient's or guest's rooms. Sorry, no refunds will be given if the patient/guest checks out or cannot be located.

Wrong/Incomplete Addresses: Please be sure that all shipping information is entered accurately, including the recipient's name, street number/name, floor, suite or apt # if applicable, and zip code. If you have been made an error in the shipping address after the order has been placed, please notify us immediately. If your order has not shipped, we will be happy to make the necessary changes. If your order has already been shipped and our shipper is able to make the address correction, a $10.00 fee will be charged to your credit card to correct and re-route the package to its destination. Incorrect shipping addresses may also result in the delay of your gift.

Returned Packages due to Wrong Address or Refusal of Acceptance by Recipient (Including No Required Signature Obtained) : For packages returned to The Basket Works due to incorrect address, refusal of acceptance by recipient (including not responding to required signature notification for wine or other gifts), a refund of the original gift price will be issued, minus a $10.00 return fee + the original shipping charges. All re-ship requests for gifts returned will incur the $10.00 return fee + new shipment shipping charges.

Local Deliveries:
Some of our gifts are available for local delivery to Parsippany, Whippany, East Hanover & Florham Park. Deliveries are made during regular business hours; charges start at $8.00 and vary by location. We cannot guarantee same day delivery. Please call us to place orders for local delivery-- we can advise you as to which gifts may be hand delivered, and timing of delivery.

WINE SALES:

All wine and other alcoholic beverage products listed on The Basket Works website are sold and delivered from AKA. All terms and conditions of sale established by AKA from time-to-time are binding on the Consumer. The terms and conditions can be located at www.wine.com/customercare/tos.asp
An adult signature 21+ is required for all wine gift basket deliveries.

SALE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES:

The Basket Works does not sell alcohol to persons under the age of 21. By using this site you swear and affirm that you are over the age of 21. The Basket Works makes every effort to ensure that alcoholic beverages are not delivered to anyone who is under the age of 21. By using this site you are acknowledging that the person receiving a shipment of alcoholic beverages from The Basket Works is over the age of 21. You also agree that any alcohol purchased from The Basket Works is intended for personal consumption and not for resale. If you do not agree with these conditions of use please do not use this site. If you intentionally or unintentionally misrepresent your age in order to provide alcohol to a person under the age of 21 The Basket Works will prosecute you fully to the extent allowable by law. In the State of Connecticut Chatham Fine Wines and Liquor provides alcoholic beverages. In the State of Michigan Lo Spuntino, Inc., provides alcoholic beverages.

CORPORATE ACCOUNTS:

We are pleased to offer corporate accounts, after your intial order. We do require a credit card for the first order, and this card number will be kept on file. We may require a credit application or other information. After your account has been opened, your invoice will be mailed within 5 days of the order. Payment is due within 15 days of the invoice date. If payment is not received by the due date, the amount will be charged to the credit card on file. Any invoice past due by 60 days or more will incur a $25.00 fee.

Large volume orders may require a 50% deposit. Please contact us for more details.

CUSTOM DESIGNS/CORPORATE NEEDS:

Looking for an unusual or themed gift? Some of the designs in our online catalog may be customized to suit your specific needs. Additionally, we can work with you to design something completely unique.

We offer a variety of specialty items to meet your corporate needs, including theme gifts, convention/meeting attendee gifts, employee appreciation/recognition, new product introductions, guest amenities. We can also imprint your company logo on chocolate, cookies, coffee mugs, etc to build awareness and reinforce identity.

Alternatively, we can incorporate your company merchandise into the gift design to provide extra impact. Think of us as an extension of your marketing department! RETURNS:

We will make every attempt to resolve customer satisfaction issues in a timely manner. All sales are final. If the gift is lost, damaged or returned to us we will credit the cost of the gift, minus the shipping/delivery charges. If an order is cancelled once the gift has been made, there is a 20%restocking fee charge. Reports of any damages must be made within 5 days of receipt of gift. Due to the perishable nature of gourmet foods in our baskets, returns cannot be accepted.

Personalized gifts are non-refundable. We also do not offer refunds, credits or exchanges if a selection does not appeal to one's taste.

SUBSTITUTIONS:

We make changes to our inventory based on product availability, new trends in the gourmet food industry and seasonal restrictions. Therefore, we reserve the right to substitute an item with one of equal or greater value. Quality will never be compromised.
We cannot ship chocolate during the summer months (May-September); appropriate substitutions for chocolate items will be made.

PRIVACY:

We value each of our customers and their privacy. Information gathered by The Basket Works is strictly confidential. Our mailing list is proprietary; we will not sell, share or rent our list to a third party.
