PanCAN (Pancreatic Cancer Action Network)is a non-profit patient advocacy organization dedicated to helping those diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and their families.

The Basket Works is proudly donating a portion of all gift sales to PanCAN, to support their programs in raising awareness, funding research, assisting patients/caregivers in finding effective treatments and ultimately working for a cure for this most deadly cancer.

We honor the memory of my Mom, Bernice , who fought valiantly and managed to maintain a life of "normalcy" despite the challenges of this devastating illness. She continued her professional work as an Office Manager, enjoyed her grandchildren, maintained important volunteer responsibilities, and always found time to assist in designing gifts and creating the Basket Works' beautiful hand tied bows. She was, and always will be our hero.

Mom, your life's example will never be forgotten, and perhaps one day, through the efforts of PanCAN and other advocacy groups, for those who follow, pancreatic cancer need not be a death sentence.
